SUMMARY:Ohio State Canoe\, Kayak and Paddleboard Championship
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to participate in the Ohio State Canoe\, Kayak\, and Paddleboard Championships being held on the Grand River at Lake Metroparks. \n \nCourse description: This is an up/downriver race with buoy turns. Mostly flat deep water\, some slow-moving shallows. There are plenty of viewing opportunities for spectators. Race officials reserve the right to alter the course if deemed necessary. The race starts and ends at the same location. The Ohio Dept. of Natural resources Div. of Watercraft and the Lake County Sheriff’s Dept. will monitor boat traffic and assure a safe race course.  \nThere are 2 races. The 5-mile race begins at 9am and will include C-1\, C2\, SUP\, K-1\, K-2\, and recreational & pleasure canoes. The second race begins at 11:30am and includes the competitive class racers paddling C-2\, K-1 and K-2. Please see the 2021 Race Flyer below for details. USCA Rules apply.  \nRegistration information :Registration information: Opens at8:00 am. $30/person for one race\, $35 for both races. T-shirt to all entrants (one shirt per entrant). There is a mandatory pre-race meeting 15 minutes before each scheduled group of races. All competitors must pick up boat numbers at registration prior to the race \nBoat inspection:Boats for all classes must conform to USCA specification rules. All boats will be inspected on the day of the race. The decision of the race officials as to conformance of any boat or equipment proposed for entry will be final.
